Guitar Lessons by Tyler Massey
One of Worcestershire's most experienced music instructors is now offering guitar, bass and beginning piano lessons to the general public. American-born musician Tyler Massey has been teaching for over 25 years and has changed the musical lives of countless students.
Flexible, creative, custom-written lesson plans and robust computer-supported curriculum are the centre of Tyler's guitar method, which is based on HAVING FUN and LEARNING QUICKLY.
All students are welcome, from beginners (over six years old, please) as well as intermediate and experienced players. Tyler excels at making Music Theory easy to understand and integrates it seamlessly into the lessons, alongside technique and ear training.
Background
Tyler received his BFA in Guitar in the United States in 1992, although he has taught professionally since the 1980s. He plays in various styles and has been in dozens of musical projects over the years, playing all types of electric and acoustic guitar styles.
He moved to Malvern in 2005, and has only taught a handful of select students up until now. However, he recently decided to take on more students and teach full-time. Based in West Malvern, he mainly teaches from his custom lesson studio, but is will to teach in people's homes in order to accomodate students who are unable to travel (please call for pricing).
Acoustic, Classic & Electric
No matter what style you'd like to specialise in, or what sort of guitar you play, you will be well looked-after: Tyler is well-versed in everything from Metal to Jazz... from to Punk to Pop. In the end, every student has to put the time and effort in if they want to play the guitar well, but you will learn and improve much more quickly if you study with an, experienced, qualified professional instructor. There are a few things that you can only learn from a teacher; and spinning your wheels trying to teach yourself from internet tabulature can be very frustrating.
Helping everyone from absolute beginners to professional guitarists with equal zeal, Tyler can help you in a variety of ways, whether it's basic Theory or Techincal problems, or just the confidence to get up and play in front of people.
Whether you choose to bring your own book, or just want to show up and start with a favourite song, you will be playing right away. THERE ARE NO OVERNIGHT MIRACLES: everyone moves at their own pace, but people who practise for a few minutes on a daily basis will see remarkable results within a couple of weeks.
Pricing
Lessons are available in several packages: One-off Lessons, 30 minutes per week, 60 Minutes per week.
